Civil War Encampment and Candlelight Tour

Encampment: 10a to 4p - Free to Attend
Candlelight Tour:  Tours begin at 7p & 8p  - $5 for adults; $2 for children 12 and under

Lexington County Museum Complex, 231 Fox Street   Lexington, SC

This living history event will allow visitors to learn about life for Union and Confederate soldiers while in Lexington County. Drill demonstrations will take place throughout the day. The Candlelight Tour will feature scenes from Sherman's March.



Murders and Mysteries Walking Tour

116 East Main Street, Lexington, SC
Free to the Public

This event will focus on some of the more gruesome, tragic, and spooky events in Lexington's history. This one block walk will allow visitors to learn about the history of the town and some of the murders, duels, and lynchings that took place on Lexington's Main Street. Due to the mature subject matter, we ask that attendees be at least 18 or have parental permission.




"Celebrating the Swiss German Heritage of Lexington County" Fundraiser
February 17, 2018
6 pm - 10 pm
Lexington Municipal Center - 111 Maiden Lane  Lexington, SC
Tickets: $60 in advance / $65 at the door

This gala will focus on the Germanic heritage of Lexington County and will feature authentic German cuisine. The ticket price includes all you can eat and drink and dancing. All funds raised will go towards the replacement of the Daniel Koon House roof at the Lexington County Museum. For more info, please call the museum at 803-359-8369.
