"Lexington County in World War I" Presentation

Free to the Public

Come learn about Lexington County before, during, and after the "Great War." Attendees will learn about the contributions of Lexingtonians to the war and will learn about the equipment and uniforms of those who served. Attendees will also get to see artifacts from Lexington County residents who served in the war.

 

 

"Murders and Mysteries” Walking Tour of Downtown Lexington

            June 10, 2017
          8 pm
          Tour begins at the vacant lot located next to Pitter Platter 116 East Main Street Lexington
          Free to the public

Attendees will learn about some of the spookier and more gruesome aspects of Lexington's history as we will discuss murders, lynchings, and mysteries that occurred in downtown Lexington. Because of the mature subject matter, we ask that attendees be 18 or over. 
       
 

 

Fourth Annual Family Day

 June 24, 2017

 10 am to 1 pm

 Lexington County Museum Complex 231 Fox Street Lexington, SC

 Free to the Public

Bring your children or grandchildren and learn about the history of the county through hands- on programs. A blacksmith will be in attendance to teach families about metalworking in the 19th century as well. Hot dogs and chips will also be served.
