Upcoming Delegation Meeting Information:


 June 10, 2026, Called Meeting is scheduled for 6:00 PM in Room 112 of the Lexington County Auxiliary Administration Services Building located at 605 WEST Main Street, Suite I (between Lizard’s Thicket and Cookout Restaurants).  A sample agenda is provided below:

(Normally, Boards/Commissions [18] and candidates are presented in alpha order AND, if present when recognized, will stand to greet Delegation members with no more than 2 minutes tell why they desire this appointment/reappointment.)

All voting will be done by ballot and given to the Secretary for tally. Proxy voting is also accepted by the secretary in writing. You may not know tonight if selected or not but will be notified within 3-5 business days via email. If your appointment must get to the Governor for endorsement, then another form from that office will come to you for a background check within 7-14 business days of receipt of the Delegation’s request.

NOTE: The Lexington County Legislative Delegation normally meets four times a year, (February, April, September, and November), to discuss board/commission appointments and to do business regarding matters relating to the Delegation Office. The Chairman determines exact date, time, and location of meetings. A new chair and vice-chair are elected every two years.

For information regarding various boards and commissions, contact the Legislative Delegation Office (803-785-8184). Please click on this site to download the application. Please note, to be considered, the Governor’s Office requires ALL CANDIDATES for appointment and/or reappointment have a valid e-mail address.  Please be sure if you fill out an application that you write this address legibly. (The forms are fillable and recommended for reading purposes.)

Please complete the entire form as indicated in the instructions. For Voter ID information in Lexington County, please call (803)785-8369 or go online at scvotes.gov and put in your name and other required information. The entire notary process can take 6-10 weeks to be completed. It is recommended that renewal applications be requested approximately 12-16 weeks prior to expiration.  Check the SOS website for their annual seminars around the state, usually in August.  A webinar is available online also at their website.
